Another way in which the content can be protected from screen recordings is via a visible watermarking solution. It works by displaying the ID of the service user or the IP address of the client device on the screen. Besides displaying the user information on the screen, it can minimize illegal leakage itself. The only lacuna with this solution is that it can hamper the user experience and be removed by video editing.
Forensic watermarking offers a more advanced solution to copyright infringement through cam recording. In this solution, user information is inserted into video frames and cannot be removed even by re-encoding, changing the aspect ratio, or filtering.
